08 Mar Working Minds in Westminster!
Working Minds is committed to supporting and facilitating progressive outcomes for unemployed people via the Governments Flexible Support Fund. However, recent changes to procurement procedure has meant that the funding for this support has stalled, meaning Job Centre staff are struggling to refer through the new system. This means that the support available is severely limited. As a result, desperately needed help in relation to psychological and practical support is currently not available to unemployed people experiencing significant barriers to getting closer to or back into work.
Last year, Working Minds supported over 400 people via the Flexible Support Fund, experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. This resulted in over 25% of those engaging in the service finding a working outcome and over 95% experiencing improved psychological wellbeing.
