Dealing with unexpected job loss: Telegraph Interview

The recent Election will have seen many MPs but also their many support staff go from employed to unemployed overnight. This type of job loss is a reality for many people every day, and for most of them it comes as a major shock, leaving them struggling with their mental health and daily life.

The Telegraph asked our Founder Director, Simon, for his take on coping with a sudden job loss, and how to manage your mental health during this time.

He highlights the difficulties faced by people losing their job: “We’ll be wondering what we’re going to do with ourselves and feeling rudderless. Then, there’s anxiety due to the fact that we’ve lost the certainty of our monthly pay check and, potentially, the ability to pay the mortgage.”
